      International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems(IJCIS,影响因子2.153)是欧洲模糊逻辑和技术学(EUSFLAT)会刊,主要刊载有关应用计算智能各个方面的原创性研究,尤其是针对证明使用了计算智能理论的技术和方法的研究型论文及综述等,由西班牙哈恩大学Luis Martínez Lopez教授和澳大利亚悉尼科技大学路节教授担任共同主编。本刊目前已被DOAJ, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Ei Compendex and Scopus等数据库收录。

 

  信息技术正在迅速发展,并已成为医疗保健领域发展的重要驱动力。计算健康信息学是近年来出现的一个交叉了多个学科、结合了多种信息技术的研究领域。与传统方式相比,计算健康信息学运用诸如知识图谱、计算机视觉、自然语言处理和其他人工智能技术分析医疗保健数据和医院医疗数据,有助于提高健康数据的处理效率,可以覆盖更广泛的人群、更多样的应用领域。本期特刊旨在探究侧重于计算智能方向的计算健康信息学理论、技术与应用的最新进展以及未来发展方向。我们欢迎与此相关的计算健康信息学领域的积极讨论。

02 Aims and Scope

 

The International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems (IJCIS) will publish a special issue on Computational Health Informatics, which will mainly be focusing on Computational Intelligence.

 

Information technology is rapidly developing and has become a driving force in the field of healthcare. For instance, the wide use of computational health information technology in recent years contributes to saving much time and energy dealing with complex healthcare data. Therefore, the improvement of healthcare efficiency and level has attracted researchers’ and practitioners’ attention. Recently, researchers have shown interest in data informatics in the field of health industry. In this context, we especially expect to explore techniques, opportunities and challenges of Computational Health Informatics focusing on Computational Intelligence.

Computational Health Informatics, a multidisciplinary field arising in recent years, combines multiple techniques and sciences such as computer science, statistics, information technology and biology (Fang et al., 2016). In comparison with traditional ways of managing healthcare data, Computational Health Informatics could reach wide ranges of population, various application areas and conduce to increased efficiency of data processing. In practical application, computational techniques such as knowledge graphs, computer vision, natural language processing and other artificial intelligence techniques can be used in healthcare datasets and hospital medical data analysis.

 

The aim of this special issue is to present the latest developments in health informatics theory and applications for solving the increase in and complexity of real-world health issues. Furthermore, it will discuss future development directions for Computational Health Informatics. Papers contributing in developments in fundamentals, approaches, methodologies, and applications in Computational Health Informatics are encouraged to submit. Finally, as Computational Health Informatics is multidisciplinary, discussions in this area in different perspectives, cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary, are appreciated.

This special issue is dedicated to a set of best papers in the field of Computationl Health Informatics. Full papers will be subject to a strict review procedure for final selection to this special issue based on the following criteria:

1.     Quality and originality in theory and methodology of the special issue.

2.     Relevance to the topic of the special issue.

3.     Application orientation which exhibits originality.

4.     If there is an implementation, the details of the implementation must be provided.

5.     Extended papers must contain at least 40% new material (qualitative) relative to the conference paper.

06 Introduction of the Guest Editor(s)

Feicheng Ma is the director of Big Data Institute at Wuhan University and member of several domestic and international famous academic associations. His research interests lie in the areas of Data Analysis and Management, Knowledge Network, Knowledge Organization, Digital Information Resource Management and Digital Economy, Information Theory Method. As an expert on Information Management and Information Science, he serves as an editorial member of many famous domestic and international journals. Besides, he also serves as the chief scientist for over 20 national or ministerial/provincial projects. In addition, he has published more than 10 academic monographs, more than 200 papers in key academic journals, and received over 20 awards.

 

Qingxing Dong was born in 1988. He received a PhD in Management Science & Engineering from Northeastern University, China, in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor and Head of Department of Information Management and Information Systems at School of Information Management in Central China Normal University, Wuhan, China. His research area includes Decision Science, Knowledge Mining and Computational Social Science. His articles have been published in such outlets as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Information Sciences, etc.
